There are usually about 16 people there, but there's room for about 20, so there is space for new members. Teams of 3-4 people are selected at random before we start.

It isn't taken too seriously. Group members are encouraged to bring questions, but it isn't compulsory. There is usually some general knowledge and sometimes there are themed rounds, topical questions or picture rounds. 

Q - questions. Never a shortage as every member is invited to compile a list.

U - uniting a lovely group of people on the 3rd. Tuesday of the month.

I - images - making sense of Dingbats or, perhaps, flags of the world.

Z - zero/zilch - an unknown score as teams work together.

G - gamesmanship galore.

R - remembering long forgotten facts and figures.

O - opening the tea and biscuits.

U - understanding that you don't need to know all of the answers.

P - participating in a safe, friendly environment with no pressure.
