The Odyssey  is everywhere at the moment. The film of summer 2026  is probably no closer to the original poem than the hundreds of other works of art and literature which have come along in the last 3 millennia. This group is intended as a chance to read some of the poem . We will discuss the main themes and what the poem has to say about them. Where time allows we will look at art of all kinds inspired by The Odyssey.

Approximately every 2 months, ie 5 meetings between September and May.  Date and time to be agreed in the group but first meeting on morning of Friday 25 September
