There are now a few places in Art 1 and we'd love you to join us.
We meet in a room above the YHA Bistro in Bridge Street from 10am to 12 noon. The room charge is £20 a session, split between the group. (I will explain collection arrangements). You can get coffee etc from the Bistro bar below at anytime.
I have all you need though you may bring your own. Paint etc is free. If you need paper there is a charge for each piece from 50p. to £1.50.
Monthly programme is in the Newsletter which comes out usually at the end of the previous month.
If you are using a car, park on the Quayside as the YHA is a 2 hour one.
The outdoor art during the summer everyone brings their own equipment. It is totally free and if wet we can go free into the Bistro though you are expected to buy a drink. Last year we went to other places to draw. We communicate by Mobile phones: everyone has my mobile number so no-one should get lost.
The work below was done in by members of both groups armed with compasses and pencils and beautiful shades of watercolour we drew circles and divides the inner spaces and carefully painted them.
For further information please use the Group email (above) to contact the group leader
Selection of watercolour and pencil pieces from April session where members followed their own agendas or continued on themes from last session.

Henri Matisse 1869-1954
Henri Matisse 1869-1954 is one of the great French artists who loved colour and often used colourful materials in his still life works and in his pictures looking out of windows where the scenery followed the main colour of his interior. Here are some of the materials he might have used if he was with us now.

Constable: Wonderful Skies

Winter Monochromes

Ancient Beasts
