Membership is open to ALL, although most of us are retired or semi-retired

The membership year runs from 01/09 to 31/08 the following year. For anyone joining after 31/03 in any year, their membership will be valid to 31/08 the following year.

  • Individual membership £13.00pa
  • Associate membership £9.50 (applicable if you are a member of any other British u3a)

In order to join any of the groups you’ll need to be a member of Berwick u3a. If you are joining in the hope of attending a particular group, please first check in with the relevant group leader to ensure that there are vacancies, as membership fees cannot be refunded.

From April 1st you can renew your membership - Janice and Barbara will be setting up a renewals payment table at the forthcoming Open Meetings, this is a great opportunity to pay using our debit/credit card reader.

  • Online payments are processed securely by PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, scroll further down the page and find the button which says “PayPal Guest Checkout” click this and follow the instructions..
  • All major credit and debit cards are accepted.
  • Please be patient while the transaction completes. Once successful, you’ll receive email confirmation together with an electronic version of your membership card
  • If any problem arises, please contact the Treasurer via the Contact page.
  • Our Data Protection Policy is on the Admin page.
  • If required, physical membership cards can be collected at Open Meetings.

If you haven’t yet signed up to the portal, you’ll need to do so before you can renew your membership.
Have the following information to hand to sign up:

  • Membership Number
  • Forename
  • Email address
  • These need to match the information we hold. The system is case sensitive, so (usually) only the first letter of the Forename and Surname should be in capitals.
  • Surname
  • Postcode

OTHER WAYS TO JOIN OR RENEW MEMBERSHIP

BY POST

  • Please download, print and fill in the Membership Form
  • Contact membership secretary for details of postal address.
  • Membership forms are also available at Berwick Library
  • You will be sent an e-version of membership card.However, if you’d like your membership card posted, enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your form, otherwise, collect your card from the Membership Secretary at the next Open Meeting.

AT A MEETING

  • Please ask to speak to the Membership Secretary.
  • If required, you’ll be given a Membership Form to fill in.
  • Electronic payment will be taken via card reader or you can pay by cheque or in cash.
  • You’ll be given a membership card.
